Things I've Seen and Loved | Early Spring

Things I've Seen and Loved | Early Spring

Thing's I've seen and loved are little pieces, ideas, and themes I've felt the urge to screenshot or snap a photo of lately.  They are things I have my eye on to either add to my space or wardrobe, or as inspiration for pieces that I would like to create.  It's kind of like my personal wishlist of trends and just cool things.  Here's are few things to start us off:

French Inspired Kitchen- I love the sayings, so fun!  There is something elevated about something in a different language, don't you think?  It's what inspired some of my art pieces (check them out here).  I love these handpainted dishes for something fresh and colorful for the spring and summer seasons.

Metal Candle Holders- Metal colors are always coming in and out.  Sometimes silver is in, other times gold is more popular.  I love the idea of mixing metals.  Mixing metals makes it easy to add a nod to what is trending without changing around all your fixtures.  Metal Candle Holders are perfect because it's an easy and affordable way to add in some silver, gold, or copper into any room.  I love the mix of metals, and also playing with brushed and shiny finishes, too.

Flower Pots- Not just for plants and flowers, and so many cool colors and patterns! It's a great time of year to replant or repot this plant babies and a nice way to refresh a space, too.  I also really love stacking flower pots to make a unique art piece, or using them to house other items like fresh flowers- pro tip, put your flowers in a vase or mason jar to hold the water, then place that in a flower pot for a fresh take on a floral arrangement.

Tropical Art- A beach vacation is calling me.  There is something so inviting about the bright colors and palm trees.  I love the idea of adding in new art pieces as the seasons change, and something tropical is perfect to keep you grounded and remind you of your favorite vacation, even when you are just sitting at home.

Fresh Scented Candles- Candles are always a great idea.  You can truly transform a room with scent.  In the spring and summer I love lilac and sea salt scents to bring me back to some of my favorite places and memories of my grandmom.  Read more about how to live your style with candles in this blog post I wrote.

Baskets- I love baskets and recently shared lots of reasons why, read more about it here.  The texture is really what calls to me, and I am always loving the idea of adding in a new piece to change up a space.  They also make great vessels to give gifts...I mean, who doesn't love a gift basket?

Bag Charms- Jewelry for your purse...what's not to love? As a former purse junkie, this idea calls to me...change up your bag and make it your own without having to purchase a new one, or emptying and refilling constantly.  So fun, so perfect for the spring and summer. You'll be seeing me sport these all season long.

Scarf Bag- In the same vain as bag charms, a scarf bag is a very chic way to elevate an every day handbag.  This style of bag is for sure on my radar and I will be finding one to live my style this summer!  Learn more about how you can too in this blog post.

Gilded Frames- Going back to the idea of metals, a metallic frame is another piece that makes it easy to add in a new color.  I especially love frames with scallops or textural elements like florals to make the frame look vintage and unique.

Vintage Scarves- A vintage scarf can have so many uses.  Tie it on a handbag, around your neck or in your hair for a personal touch.  Tie it around the neck of a vase to add some personality to your space.  Sew 2 together to make a unique pillow for your couch or bed.  Frame it to add some color and pattern to any room.  So many possibilities  to bring your style to life.

Sweet Lamps- Little mini lamps have been having a moment and I am here for it.  Who doesn't want a little extra light in there office or kitchen?  A micro lamp is perfect to add interest to a dead space and add more light to make your home inviting.  I recently added a lamp to my kitchen counter and I am in love with the mood lighting it creates.  Learn more about how to live your style with lighting, here.

Stay tuned for more items i've seen and loved!  I'm traveling abroad and can't wait to see what ideas I can incorporate into my style moving forward.

Until next time...

TFD
