Live Your Style With Lighting

An underrated way to affect any room…lighting.  It can make a huge impact, and it can be so simple.  Good lighting can really change the mood of a space and create an atmosphere. 

I really love lamps because they come in all shapes and sizes and are easy to add anywhere you need.  You can also change the look very simply by switching out the light bulb or the shade.  

Some of my favorite ways to update a room is with a fun lamp shade.  A subtle texture, pop of color or a cool fluted design can add an element of surprise or statement to any corner.

If you have an empty corner, a floor lamp is perfect to fill the void.  I especially love the kind with a hanging shade over a chair or couch to create a cozy nook.

When it comes to bulbs, you can change the feel of your room by the type of light you infuse in your space.  Warm lighting can be just that, warm.  It can add a little extra coziness.  Cool lighting is more modern and can add a little edginess to your space.  Whatever you choose, the lighting can instantly change the feel of your home, so don’t underestimate the power!
