When in doubt, fresh florals is the answer. If you room is in need of a pick me up, adding a vase of fresh flowers always hits the spot. We love flowers and how they just make you feel good, instantly! There is something about adding something that has life to it, that automatically brings your space alive.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. You can grab fresh flowers just about anywhere, the food store, farmers market, even your own backyard. We also love gifting them. They are such a lovely thing to bring to a friends house or family gathering as a nice gesture.

So what are some ways to make these bouquets a reflection of your style? Here are some of my favorite ways:
-if you love neutrals, go with a fun monochromatic look, baby’s breath, white roses, carnations…etc
-to add a pop of color, go with a vivid, wildflower bunch
-have a go to vase, one that adds a little something to a table or countertop
-use unique vessels to hold flowers- think mugs, mason jars, etc.
-try spreading flowers between 2 vessels at different heights to make a more impactful statement
this is one of my favorite vessels, it has this cool wood accent that adds a little something special.
And here’s a pro tip to make your flowers last longer if you are mixing your own bunches….take the leaves off of the portion of the stems that sits in the water. This will make it last longer, plus, if you are using a clear vase, it looks much tidier when you just see the stems.
i took a floral arranging class a few years ago, and learned about removing those extra leaves for flower health + longevity.
I love adding flowers on my island in my kitchen, to my coffee table when I have friends over, and on a nightstand when I have overnight guests.
